Mauritius Officially Declared Coronavirus Free

The government of Mauritius today declared that it has been announced as a coronavirus free nation after it recorded no active case in the last 15 days. The health minister of the country revealed this information today.

The Indian Ocean island nation said 322 people had recovered out of the 332 confirmed cases, while 10 people have  died, meaning there are no active cases in the country. May 11, 2020, marked the fifteenth consecutive day that no new case was recorded in the country. A lockdown, however, remains in place to contain any possible spread of the virus. Mauritius is now the second Africa country to have declared virus-free status after infection.
