Here are the fixtures and predictions for the matchday 15;

  • Fixtures for 4th of Dec. 2021;

Westham vs Chelsea(13:30): Chelsea won both PL H2Hs last term ‘to nil’ and haven’t lost a competitive fixture since September (W9, D3 – outcomes at 90 minutes), although they weren’t at their best against Watford (W 2-1) in midweek. Nevertheless, they’ve scored in both halves in three of their last four matches, and have done likewise in three of the last five H2Hs too.

Prediction: 0-1

Newcastle vs Burnley(16:00): A return of seven points represents Newcastle’s worst-ever 14-game start to a PL season (D7, L7) and history would point to a Newcastle victory, as the ‘Magpies’ haven’t lost to Burnley on home soil since 1976.

Prediction: 2-1

Southampton vs Brighton(16:00): Despite this poor traveling record, Brighton are one of just six Premier League sides averaging more points in their away games than at home (W2, D4, L1). Flying as high as fourth after beating Leicester on matchday five, Brighton and Hove Albion have endured a nine-game winless run of league games (D7, L2).

Prediction: 2-1

Wolves vs Liverpool(16:00): Matchday 15 sees the Red travel to meet Wolves. The ‘Reds’ have been rampant on their travels this season, scoring 3+ goals in all but one of their away fixtures, when they netted two vs West Ham in the only loss of their season across all competitions. This will be a walk away for Liverpool.

Prediction: 1-4

Watford vs Manchester City(18:30): Unfortunately, injury problems continue to sting the ‘Hornets’, hampering preparations for this clash with the reigning champions, and they’ve won just one of their last six home league matches (D1, L4). With three points separating the top three ahead of the round, Man City are engaged in an exciting scrap to retain their title.

Prediction: 0-4

  • Fixtures for 5th of Dec. 2021

Leeds vs Brentford(15:00):  Both sides occupy the bottom-half ahead of this first top-flight H2H clash since 1947, and that was a season in which both sides were relegated!  Brentford are keeping their heads above water in their inaugural PL season. They came up short against a well-rested Spurs team last time out (2-0) but will see this as a winnable fixture as they look to strengthen their already-solid PL away record

Prediction: 0-0

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace(15:00): Palace has already come to Manchester and won this PL season, beating United’s rivals Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad.  It’s been 12 consecutive home Premier League (PL) matches without a clean sheet for United and with opponents Crystal Palace leaving Old Trafford with the full complement of points during the last two seasons.

Prediction: 4-1

Tottenham vs Norwich(15:00): With Christmas approaching fast, Tottenham’s task remains to mount a top-four challenge, and that looks possible as new boss Antonio Conte is still unbeaten in Premier League (PL) action with Spurs (W2, D1).

Prediction: 3-0

Aston Villa vs Leicester City(17:00): As a former captain/manager combo at Liverpool, Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard and his Leicester City counterpart Brendan Rodgers are no strangers. However, a curse also exists for Villa, as no side has lost more Sunday PL games than Villa’s 14 since the start of 2019/20.

Prediction: 2-3

  • Fixture for 6th of Dec. 2021.

Everton vs Arsenal(21:00): Wednesday’s 4-1 Merseyside derby defeat was a hard one to take for angry Everton fans and unsurprisingly, it led to rumors that manager Rafa Benítez’s job is in danger. Without a home win since September (D1, L3), the ‘Toffees’ conceded an average of 2.5 goals per game during that run, so if they’re to avoid getting stuck here against Arsenal, they must tighten up defensively.

Prediction: 1-1
