Mali’s Military Rulers Frees Ousted Ex-President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita

The Malian new military leaders have today released the ousted former President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, who had been in their custody since their military Coup D’tat was carried out successfully August 18.

The Military Junta, which goes by its Military name National Committee for the Salvation of the People (CNSP), took to its official Facebook page, where it informed the “public and international opinion that the former President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita had been freed and was currently at his residence”.Ibrahim Boubacar Keita

Keita’s release was been a key demand of Mali’s neighbours and international organisations, including the African Union and European Union.
