The iconic designer Abah Folawiyo looked timeless on the newest issue of Vanguard Allure magazine. Inside the magazine, she relives her past experiences, her challenges as a designer, life as a widow and her expectations for the fashion industry. For her cover, she was photographed and made up by Bamiyo Emina and Kafi Makeovers respectively.
Abah delved into the business of fashion when Nigerians did not appreciate fashion designers and were solely relying on imported ready to wear clothes. She was part of the first people to spearhead a fashion revolution that embraced the beauty of our Ankara fabrics which today has become a favourite.
