Lion King Remake: 5 Times Beyonce Has Strutted Her Stuff In Amazing Movie Roles

The remake of 1994 American animated epic musical film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation, Lion King is one of the most talked about movie projects especially with the confirmation of Beyonce’s role in the highly anticipated movie.
Beyonce who used Facebook to confirm her long-rumoured involvement in the project will voice the role of lioness Nala, next to lead character Simba, played by Donald Glover.
This is obviously not the first time, the diva will be on a movie set.
Here are 5 other times Beyonce has deftly played various key movie roles.

1. Bey’s debut role was in Carmen: A Hip Hopera. The film is the second major African-American adaptation of the opera, the first being the 1943 Broadway musical Carmen Jones and its 1954 Academy Award nominated and box office hit film adaptation.

2. In the third and final installment of the Austin Powers trilogy starring Mike Myers in the title role. Austin Powers in Goldmember, a 2002 American spy action comedy film.

4 Dreamgirls is a 2006 American romantic musical comedy-drama film written and directed by Bill Condon and jointly produced and released by DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures which starred Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé, Eddie Murphy, and Jennifer Hudson, and also features Danny Glover, Anika Noni Rose and Keith Robinson.
