Mounrinho’s wonderboy Frank Lampard who now is in charge of Derby county relishes the cup clash between Manchester United vs Derby in the Caraboa Cup. Lampard, who is in his first management job, watched his Derby side climb into the top six of the Championship with a stylish 3-1 home win against Brentford on Saturday, while Mourinho’s United are sitting in seventh in the Premier League after a 1-1 home draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Lampard said, “I’m looking forward to seeing him. On a personal level, (he is) a manager that was hugely influential on my career twice, but particularly the first time around. I learned a lot from him and I appreciate it.” The Chelsea legend, however, admitted that the game will be a tough match. in an interview Lampard said “We know what we’re coming up against. A great Manchester United team that’s been put together, the fact we’re on tally against one of the best teams in the Premier League is a challenge for us. It’s going to be a very tough task.” The kick-off time is 8pm 24th September at Old Trafford.
