Lagos State Begins Cashless Payment At Lekki/ Ikoyi Toll Gate

Lagos State Government has begun a cashless policy for toll payments at the Lekki/ Ikoyi Link bridge toll plaza as earlier announced.
Recall that the State Government had announced last year that it would go cashless on toll payments at the toll plaza effective from 1st January 2020 due to huge traffic gridlocks often experienced stemming from cash payments.
The State took to its official Twitter handle to announce the commencement, as personally monitored by the Commissioner for Transportation, Frederic Oladeinde alongside the Managing Director, Lekki Concession Company Limited, (LCC) Yomi Omomuwasan.

While Oladeinde spoke at the venue, he noted that the cashless policy is aimed at reducing traffic queue length at the toll gate. This, according to him will, in turn, save travel time and ease traffic movement along the corridor.Lagos State Begins Cashless Payment At Lekki/ Ikoyi Toll Gate Photos Credit: Twitter
