SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, has confirmed that the caregiver who was filmed assaulting a child in a creche has been arrested.
In a viral video, the caregiver could be seen beating the child for pooing on herself. The beating intensified when the child’s poo stained the caregiver’s dress.

Neighbours recorded the incident and shared the video online. The video has caused numerous reactions. Netizens condemned the caregiver’s act as being vile. They made a call to the Lagos state police to step into the case and arrest the caregiver.
Heeding to public outcry, the police swing into action, went in search of the caregiver and arrested her.

Hundeyin confirmed on twitter that the caregiver has been apprehended to face the wrath of the law. He also stressed the need for creche owners to screen their staff harder because people trust them with their most precious gift.
‘’She has been arrested. Crèche owners need to do better screening of their staff.
People entrust their little lovelies to you.”
