La Liga: Samuel Chukwueze Sets New Record In Espanyol Win

Nigerian attacker, Samuel Chukwueze has recently penned his name in history books as the youngest player to reach 200 appearances in all competitions.

The Yellow Submarine winger achieved this in Villareal’s 4-2 victory against Espanyol at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Thursday night.

Chukwueze joined the club in 2018 from Diamond Football Academy and has since been an integral member of the squad, netting 37 goals in his 200 appearances as he also ranks in the club’s top 10 goal scorers of all-time.

The in-form winger has made 148 appearances in La Liga, 20 Europa League, 14 Copa del Rey, 9 Champions League and 9 Conference League appearances.

This season, he has been particularly effective, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions.

Chukwueze’s performances have not gone unnoticed, as he has attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Everton.
