Exactly one year ago today, the world lost one of its best sportsman, Kobe Bryant, his budding superstar daughter, Gianna Bryant and 7 others in a tragic helicopter crash. The memory is still fresh, the cool Monday morning which left many people sullen and mourning.
Many still hope and wish it is not true, friends and family can never forget. The many records Kobe Bryant broke to be who he was, the lovingness and kindness everyone talked and talks about when describing him, his legacy as a player, humanitarian, film-maker and most importantly, father, the promising future of teenager Gigi, the hope of a generation to come, all of these will continue to linger in the hearts of men.
As the world celebrates the departure of the legends who passed away on the 26th of January, 2020, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa has gotten a sweet letter from one of Gianna’s best friends, and it makes one so emotional. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “Today I received this sweet letter from one of Gianna’s best friends, Aubrey. I love you Aubz (as my Gigi would call you).”

“Thank you so much for beautifully sharing some of your memories of my Gigi with me and allowing me to share them here on my ig. My Gigi is INCREDIBLE and I truly appreciate your thoughtful letter. She loves you so much. I miss my baby girl and Kob-Kob so much, too. ♥️I will never understand why/how this tragedy could’ve happened to such beautiful, kind and amazing human beings. It still doesn’t seem real. Kob, we did it right. Gigi, you still make mommy proud. I love you! #PlayGigisWay #Mambacita #Mamba #DaddysGirl #GirlDad“, she captioned.
