Nollywood star Funke Akindele-Bello‘s ex-husband Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof is set to become the next Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Lagos.
The businessman and politician has been off the media scene for some years and now, reports have it that he is set to attain yet another height in politics.
Kehinde Almaroof had reportedly dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC in 2015, contested twice for House of Representatives, Oshodi Constituency 1 in 2003 and 2007.
As reported by Kemi Filani, an anonymous source disclosed that Kehinde Oloyede has the full backing and support of MC Oluomo, the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transporter Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State. Recall that Kehinde and Oluomo were arch rivals before Oloyede joined APC. However, Oluomo’s has decided to support Almaroof’s ambition after a series of reconciliation meeting had been held between them. “There is no crime in pushing for support, but what I know is that our State Chairman, Tunde Balogun, is a man of integrity and he won’t allow any imposition. There are many aspirants but the primaries will determine“, the anonymous source reveals, as reported by Kemi Filani.
