Following his acquittance and discharge by a Nigerian court, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the leader of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, popularly called the Shiites group of Nigeria and his wife, Zeenat.
El-Zakzaky and Zeenat were freed by a Kaduna High Court barely two days ago, after spending 5 years and some months in custody. Both were arraigned on an eight-count charge bordering on culpable homicide, unlawful assembly, and disruption of public peace.As the defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them, Gideon Kurada, the judge handling the matter, upheld a no-case submission, ruling that the Kaduna government failed to establish a prima facie case against the defendants.
The Kaduna state government has filed fresh charges against Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).

Channels Television, however, reported that Dari Bayero, Director of Public Prosecution, as saying the fresh charges border on terrorism and treasonable felony against the state and the federal government.
The Director said the court is meant to issue an order for El-Zakzaky’s arrest for him to answer to the new charges.
