#JusticeforUwa: UNIBEN Reacts To Student’s Rape And Murder, Condemns Act

The Management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), has reacted to the news of the rape and murder of one of its students, Miss Vera Omozuwa, which is currently making the rounds on social media.

#Justice4Uwa: UNIBEN REACTSBefore her untimely death, the victim was a 100 level Microbiology of the institution.

In a statement by the institution’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lilian Salami, through  Public Relations Officer, Dr Benedicta Ehanire, she said the news was sad and bizarre.

She said the actions were wrong and not to be held in any moral society, seeking growth and progress.
