Davido praises Nigerians doing great worldwide.
Fresh off winning the 2018 BET Best International Act award, Davido wants is urging everyone to break boundaries in achieving their dreams. “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible, Nigerians turning up Worldwide,” Davido wrote on Instagram with a picture of him holding up his BET award on stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
During Davido’s acceptance speech at BET, he said: “I want to talk about Africa. My continent has been so blessed to influence so many cultures. Migos just left two years ago, I remember when they came, that was amazing. “I am telling you guys. Yo!, come to Africa, eat the food, wear the clothes..and I want to thank everybody for putting me on this stage, I can’t believe I am here.”
On June 11, Davido performed on stage with US rapper, A-Boogie Wit Da Hoodie at Hot 97 Summer Jam’s 25th Anniversary at the 82,500 capacity Metlife Stadium in New Jersey, US. The Nigerian pop star was listed as a performer alongside Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Meek Mill, Diplo, Miguel, Janelle Monáe, Alessia Cara and more for 2018 Made in America Festival scheduled for September 1-2 at Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, US.
Davido will also be sharing the stage with One MusicFest 2018 headliners – Nas, Cardi B, and Miguel – for the two-day celebration of live music billed to take place at Central Park in New York on September 8-9.
