Former BBNaija housemate, Uriel Oputa has expressed her displeasure at the narrative slowly creeping into daily reality, which posits that women are gold diggers.
She said that she is disgusted at how men are quick to judge a woman who says she wants better for herself.
Using her mother as a reference, she enthused that while she respects her, she has no plans to go through the struggles she won’t through.

She wrote, “I am tired of men calling women gold diggers when they say they want a man who’s OK.
“This goes to both men and women, bring something to the plate. I love my mum but I don’t want to struggle like she did.”
