IGP Remains Quiet After Closed-Door Meeting With Osinbajo


The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, remained quiet on Monday after a closed-door meeting he had with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
The meeting which was held at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja was also attended by the Director-General of the Department of State Security, Mr. Lawal Daura.
The meeting was held barely 24-hours after the Nigerian Police Force invited the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, for questioning, over his alleged involvement in the Offa robbery massacre.
The police chief did not comment when newsmen approached him for updates on the meeting. It also came shortly after the Department of State Services withdrew some of its operatives attached to some leaders of the national assembly.
