In an indirect reaction to corruption trial of the former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, the current state governor, Simon Lalong has revealed that he once got a revelation from God after spending 40 days in an EFCC prison.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of 94th General Church Council of Church of Christ in Nations on Wednesday in the state capital, Governor Lalong recounted the beautiful end of his trying ordeal with the EFCC.
Governor Lalong said: “Before I became the Governor of Plateau State, as a Speaker of the State House of Assembly then, I also slept 40 days in prison, and when I was there I received a lot of revelations. I was ready to face the allegations against me and was also cleared at the end of the day. Now as a Governor I know when I vacate the office there will be a time for me to account for my stewardship, but when somebody refuses to humble himself to accept his imperfection, then the law takes it over.
Senator Jonah Jang was reprimand in prison by Jos High Court last week Wednesday. He is currently facing a 12-count charge bordering on misappropriation of funds.
