I Am Grateful For Going To Jail – Omoyele Sowore Celebrates Release Anniversary

Nigerian activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore is celebrating his 1st year jail release, expressing his gratitude for the fulfilment of his reason for being jailed.
Recall that Sowore had been arrested by the Department of States Services DSS and jailed under President Buhari’s administration for convening the #RevolutionNow movement, which according to the administration is a move to dethrone the President.
Despite being granted bail in October 2019, the DSS continued to hold him till December, sparking outcries and actions from his fans and followers. A year after, Omoyele Sowore is celebrating on Twitter.

“A yr ago, I was released from detention by the tyrannical @mbuhari regime, I had spent close to 5 months in detention, granted bail twice but kept in detention, since my release Nigeria has moved closer to a #REVOLUTION which was the reason I went to jail, for this I AM grateful“, he wrote.
