Believe it or not, there is a growing strong presence of Gay men in Lagos and in Nigeria and you might just like I did a while back, run into one and just so you’re not caught by surprise, this article is meant to help you navigate such an occurrence if such ever does happen.

I have had such an experience, it was with the least of the person I would have ever thought was such a person. The funniest part about such guys is that they’re usually good looking guys, rich, quite smart, ripped and in-shape the perfect type of guy you would think would have ladies drooling at their feet seeking for their attention. But they would rather be in another guy’s b*tt.

This dude is actually a Gospel singer and a worker in one of the most popular churches in Nigeria he never misses service, every Sunday he is in the church so like I said earlier you meet them the most unexpected places.

be careful of a guy who is always quick to invite you over to his place. Be careful of a guy who is quick to tell you to crash over at his place, without it being a force majeure or you both agreeing mutually to it. Be careful of a guy you’ve known for months and no signs of a ladies around him calls, text, friends. My brother ja ara e ko ja pa.

1. Don’t Be Aggressive:
   If you ever get caught up in the web, of a gay dude who makes advances to you there’s no reason for you to get aggressive. The first thing you would have to do is to remain calm and be clear at expressing to him that you’re heterosexual and isn’t interested in such.
2. Be Firm In Your Response:
   As explained in the first point, don’t get aggressive if you do this might escalate things and they also get aggressive with the fear of your exposing him. And this might lead to violence. So rather stay calm and be firm with your response by just telling him off. Be firm, understand your sexuality and do not flinch because they can be both deceptive, aggressive and manipulative. Also, watch what you drink or eat around such persons. 
3. Cut-off All forms of Contact from Such person: 
   Your best option at staying safe is by cutting all ties from such a person, and maintaining a distance never go visit such a person in their house, never take a drink from such a guy. Just so you know guys also get raped by other guys and it is usually more gruesome and brutal. Protect your bum and sanity.
4. No Need For Insults: 
   No insults needed, you don’t understand the reasons for making his choices. Be smart enough to know that world has become more receptive gay, queer and transgender persons. But be smart enough to not insult other humans.

   

5. Don’t go about telling other people about their sexuality:
   Yes, this is an important part at also keeping your own self safe too. Don’t go about running your mouth about such a person’s sexuality. Also, don’t go about judging him let him be who he chooses to be its a free world. Plus if they’re actually gay at some point he will come out of the closet. Your own concern is you once you’re sure you’re heterosexual just stay away from a gay who is making advances to you, not all will make advances to you and once you’ve more than one making advances to you then you probably need to check yourself and assure yourself if you’re truly a straight guy.
