Nasty C has won his first ever Headies award!

The South African rapper was named “Best African Artiste” at the 2018 Headies that took place on Saturday night at the Eko Hotels in Lagos. Nigeria. Headies organisers in a statement, said the Best African Artist category would honour an individual artiste with the most outstanding achievement, impact, and infiltration into the Nigerian music scene in the year under review

Nasty C beat Cassper Nyovest, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee and Kenyan pop band Sauti Sol to clinch the prize. The SA rapper and Davido collaborated on “Coolest Kid In Africa” off the Nigerian pop star’s 2016 EP titled “Son Of Mercy.” Nasty’s upcoming “Strings and Bling” album is set to drop in June.
