Gunmen Kidnap 8 RCCG Members In Kaduna
Gunmen suspected to be bandits have again launched an attack in Kaduna State, kidnapping with no fewer than eight members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
The gunmen were said to have kidnapped the church members on Friday evening while on transit along Kachia Road in the Southern part of the State.
Channels Television reported that the the leader of the men’s fellowship of the church in the province, Elder Adaji, confirmed the abduction to its correspondents today Saturday. Adaji reportedly explained that the abducted persons were on their way to Kachia for an evangelical outreach programme before their bus was ambushed by the bandits.
The bandits stopped their bus, transferred the eight passengers to their vehicle and zoomed off to an unknown destination. The church bus which was conveying the church members was reportedly then abandoned the church bus on the road.
Channels TV added that the the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, Mohammed Jalige, when contacted, said the police has not confirmed the incidence yet.

The abduction of the church members comes on the heels of the chains of attacks by bandits on various communities in Kaduna, Benue, Zamfara and Niger States, leading to the kidnaps of many residents.
