Goodbye Meghan Markle! Royal Couple Become Duke And Duchess Of Sussex

All hail her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex!

The Buckingham Palace on behalf of the Queen, has just revealed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new title once the ring is on. Meghan Markle, who is the newest member of the royal family has been given her official title and will now be known as Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex, while Prince Harry will also be addressed as the Duke of Sussex.

A statement released from Buckingham Palace reads: “The Queen has today been pleased to confer a Dukedom on Prince Henry of Wales. His titles will be Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.
“Prince Harry thus becomes His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex, and Ms. Meghan Markle on marriage will become Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.”
Prince Harry’s brother and best man, Prince William was conferred a dukedom by the Queen hours before his wedding on April 29, 2011, becoming Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus. Ms Markle’s soon-to-be sister in law, previously known as Kate Middleton, also became the Duchess of Cambridge that same day.
