Former Ekiti state governor Ayo Fayose was caught riding on a commercial motorcycle popularly called Okada in Lagos due to the heavy traffic popular in the city. The governor took the decision as a result of the hectic Lagos road traffic.
The governor said the traffic is no respecter of anybody and he needed to take an alternative in order to get to his destination on time. In a post on his social media handle, the former Governor was seen on the motorcycle with his security aide sitting behind him. According to Ayo Fayose, became necessary to prevent missing his flight. “Lagos traffic is no respecter of anyone. I had to take Okada in Ikeja to avoid missing my flight,” he said in the post.

Over the years Lagosians have cried out about the terrific traffic situation in the state and how it hampers business and other activities in the state. Several alternatives have been considered over the years as a way to address the situation.
