Nollywood diva Bimbo Akintola is a naturally funny, talented and a very beautiful woman. 
The Oyo State-born star, is unarguably Nigeria’s Sweetheart not only for her on-screen prowess but also as a kind-hearted, soft-spoken person.
Bimbo Akintola who is always the cynosure of all eyes whenever she turns up at events has been captivating Nigerians minds and imagination since she first featured in the film OWO BLOW in 1995.
Bimbo is still Nigeria’s darling since her debut. She has carried that mantle into middle age and still remains as popular as ever among her legions of fans for her acting on TV and in the movies.
Ibadan-born Bimbo followed up her debut with Out of Bounds in 1997 with Richard Mofe Damijo.
In 2013, she was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the year’s Nollywood Movies Awards. And her hobbies include singing and dancing.
Bimbo had her primary education at Maryland Convent Private School, Maryland, Lagos State. She then proceeded to Command Day Secondary School, Lagos. 
She holds a National Diploma Certificate and a First Degree in Theater Arts from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
Bimbo was born to a father who is a Muslim cleric and a mother from Edo State. She is the third in a family of six. 
The stunning actress began acting as a pupil with her peers for the school’s end-of-year drama events. 
As she took part in more plays, her passion for acting grew and became effortless with time.
Bimbo has featured in blockbuster including Owo Blow, Out of Bounds, The Gardner, Dangerous Twins, Beyond the Verdict, Smoke and Mirrors, Hoodrush, Ayitale, Heaven’s Hell and the globally acclaimed 93 Days.
Bimbo has also featured in Television series Husbands of Lagos and Ere Egele.
With questions always raging and mesmerising a lot of people about her dating and private life, Bimbo is unquestionably the actresses Nigerians always wants to see on their screen.
