Deontay Wilder Vs Tyson Fury Trilogy Confirmed…Set To Go Down In July

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder

American boxer Deontay Wilder has officially confirmed his rematch with Tyson Fury a day after posting a video of himself on twitter where he claimed he was A king, A Warrior and No one can take his pride and the war has just begun’. Deontay Wilder Vs Tyson Fury Trilogy

The Bronze Bomber has been in 44 professional fights, undefeated in 43 but lost his WBC belt and undefeated record to the Gypsy King Tyson Fury on February 23rd. The Gypsy King brutally smashed Deontay Wilder, hooked him to a corner pounding away with a flurry of punches in the 7th round been already knocked down twice before the 7th round where one of Wilder’s trainer Mark Breland was forced to throw in the towel after noticing the bronze bomber was in a bad condition with multiple injuries to his ear and mouth.

The most anticipated fight of the year has got to be Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua, but I don’t think that fight would take place this year since Wilder has chosen to trigger the rematch clause signed in the pre-match contract with Fury agreeing upon a date in July.

“Wilder’s representatives formally notified us last night that they have accepted the rematch,” Bob Arum, Fury’s co-promoter and owner of Top Rank promotions told Ringside Reporter Live on Sunday.
“It’s going to happen in the summer before the Olympics.”
Arum admitted he was not sure Wilder will have fully recovered by July following the bruising, two-knockdown defeat, which saw him suffer a badly-cut ear and lip. Photo Credit: Getty
