Demonstrate Courage, Free Nnamdi Kanu Today – Sowore To Supreme Court

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), in the February 2023 general elections has urged the Supreme Court of Nigeria to be courageous enough to set the leader of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu free today.

KOKO TV had earlier reported that the Supreme Court will on Thursday hear the appeal filed by Kanu over his continuous detention at the Department of State Security (DSS), in Abuja.

The appeal, which was filed on November 3, 2022, was against the decision of the Court of Appeal which on 28 October 2022, stayed the execution of its earlier order acquitting him of all charges and directing his release from the custody of the secret police.

Speaking ahead of the hearing today, Sowore in a tweet, asked the Supreme Court to let Mazi Nnamdi Kanu go.
