Nigerian activist and social media influencer, Deji Adeyanju has staged a protest alongside some other like-minded individuals and members of the #RevolutionNow movement, claiming that the DSS has not released Omoyele Sowore to them.
The protesters gathered at the DSS headquarters in Abuja, demanding his immediate release. As revealed by Adeyanju on Twitter, the DSS claimed that their bosses are not at work, hence, the breach of the court order. Meanwhile, the DSS earlier issued a statement, noting that the did not release Aowore simply because nobody came around to collect the activist detained since 3rd August. “They have refused to release Sowore to me or his lawyer here. All their Ogas claim they are not at work”, Deji Adeyanju wrote on Twitter, sharing pictures from the gathering.
