Cristiano Ronaldo To Join Juventus After Meeting With Real Madrid Hierarchy

Cristiano Ronaldo is close to joining Juventus after nine years at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes met Real Madrid president Florentino Perez who was in the company of his right-hand man Jose Angel Sanchez on Wednesday evening, to discuss the fate of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu amid exit speculations.

According to Marca, Angel Sanchez asked Mendes to present an offer worth 100 million euros in order to receive the blessing of Los Blancos’ hierarchy and Mendes stated that he would indeed be able to do so, with Juventus the club ready to pay this price tag.

During the meeting, the club “hardly” addressed a potential salary increase for Ronaldo, but demanded a “positive and civil farewell” as the 100 million euros move to Turin is now becoming reality. Ronaldo, 33, joined Real Madrid from Manchester United for £80m in 2009.
