COVID-19 Is A Test On Africa’s Economy – World Bank

With the COVID-19 virus pandemic hitting hard and destabilizing economies, World Bank has said that the virus is a test on the stability of Africa’s economy.

It also said that at the end of it all, there is a huge possibility of the continent falling into recession.

World Bank Vice President for Africa, Hafez Ghanem said “The COVID-19 pandemic is testing the limits of societies and economies across the world, and African countries are likely to be hit particularly hard”.

According to data based on governmet statements and WHO data, the continent now hass over 11,000 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, more than 560 deaths and over 1,140 recoveries.
