Court Remands Teenager Who Burnt His Girlfriend To Death

An Ebute Metta Magistrate’s court has remanded the 18-year-old alleged yahoo boy Victor Oji, who set his girlfriend, Tolani Mariam, 24, ablaze in Iba town, Ojo, Lagos.
Recall that KOKOTV reported that Victor set Tolani on fire because he saw pieces of evidence that suggested she was cheating on him. Tolani, who moved him with him about two months after they started dating reportedly told him she was going to see her aunt.
On return, he saw a video of her in a hotel. This triggered his anger and he set her ablaze at their home at No. G549, Army Post Service Estate, Iba Town on the 7th of December.

The Magistrate who sat on the case, Mrs A. Kusanu ordered that Victor be kept at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre, Lagos, despite his pleas, pending advice from the state director of public prosecutions. Kusanu adjourned the case until Feb. 19.Photos Credit: Getty
