Lagos State Government has acted promptly and accordingly to the threat of the quarantined Coronavirus patient in the State, after he made an attempt to escape.
Recall that KOKO TV reported how the 44-year-old Italian had made an attempt escape where he was isolated due to poor facilities.Two of the things he complained of are excessive heat and mosquitoes.

This got the attention of the State government and had seen the Commissioner of Health Professor Akin Abayomi visiting him at the hospital and now, the Commissioner has announced that he’s been moved to a more comfortable place with the full complement of facilities.

Giving the update, Prof. Akin Abayomi disclosed that his condition has improved as at this morning and has not developed any new symptoms. “We were renovating part of the facilities, so we kept him in a single isolation room for his privacy but we’ve subsequently moved him to one of our completed wards which were recently renovated with the full complement of facilities. He is there now and he is comfortable. As of this morning, his condition has improved, he hasn’t developed any new symptoms but he still got a mild fever and we would be running tests to see what the situation is with the virus in his body“, he said.
