Coronavirus: Oyo Discharges 169 Patients

The Oyo state government says it has discharged over 169 coronavirus patients from its isolation centres, after testing negative twice.

CoronavirusThe state governor, Seyi Makinde, who disclosed this via his official Twitter page, noted that the number of discharged cases in the state had now soared to 508.

However, he stated that there are now 76 new cases in the state, following the return of their tests which came back as positive.

“Egbeda LGA records four , Ibadan NorthWest has three cases, Lagelu, Ibadan South East and Ibadan North East LGAs have two cases each while Akinyele, Saki West, Ona Ara and Ido LGAs have one case each.

“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 1,264.”He further advised residents to strictly follow the coronavirus guidelines of hand washing and social distancing.
