Coco Austin, the wife of American rapper Ice T has defended her decision to continue breastfeeding their five-year-old daughter Chanel. The actress during an interview with Us Weekly spoke about breastfeeding and what it means to her.
She shared that her daughter still loves her breast at the age of 5 and she sees it as a great bonding moment between mother and child.“Chanel still likes my boobs, it’s a big bonding moment for a mother and your child. Why take that away from her? … If she doesn’t want it, all right, that’s where you stop it,” she said. “But I’m not just going to say no.” Coco Austin also noted that breastfeeding helps Chanel sleep: “It’s not like she’s getting a meal from it, but she’s getting her little snack and it’s soothing her to sleep.”
