The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has decalred the Cable News Network CNN’s investigative report on the October 20 Lekki killings as one-dimensional and lacking balance.
Lai Mohammed said this today as he appeared on NTA and Radio Nigeria, validating BBC’s report which he claimed was based more on facts.
He referred to previous reports done by CNN as lacking balance while insisting that the military fired blank bullets into the air and not at the crowd. He then urged that persons who have alleged massacres, as well as relatives with missing family members, report at the judicial panel to lay official complaints, adding that the Security agents deserve commendation and not condemnation.

Adding that the CNN report conveniently excluded the looting, violence by citizens, 269 private facilities burnt and looted, 243 govt facilities vandalized, Lai Mohammed noted that the international media should be sanctioned for misinformation and irresponsible reporting.
