#CHEMUN: Who Will Be Fired First: Frank Lampard Or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

Football as they say, is a funny old game.

On the opening day of the Premier League season Manchester United made Chelsea look stupid, running out 4-0 winners in a ruthless display of counter-attacking mastery.
That day, Frank Lampard was made to realise that the road ahead may prove difficult, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have felt delighted that he’d got the chance to wipe the slate clean following an alarming end to last season.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to be in a much better position than Chelsea manager Frank Lampard. The Red Devils face Chelsea tonight at Stamford Bridge in a crucial Premier League clash.

United have a tough challenge on their hands as they attempt to qualify for the Champions League next season. Going into tonight’s game with Chelsea, Solskjaer’s side are six points behind Lampard’s Chelsea.
They currently occupy ninth spot in the Premier League table, and are only one point ahead of Arsenal in the place below them. Both United and Chelsea have only won once in their last five league games, and tonight’s game will be crucial for both sides.

If the Blues get three points, they’ll put themselves in a brilliant position to finish in the top four, as they will go four points ahead of Tottenham. For Solskjaer, failure to qualify in the top four will be the latest setback in a poor season, and could lead to his dismissal at the end of the campaign.

Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be waiting in the wings for United to fire the Norwegian, who seems unlikely to be in the Old Trafford dugout at the start of next season. For Lampard, expectations are lower, having come into the job with the club in the middle of a transfer embargo.
