Chelsea’s list of bad news, seem to be getting longer and longer as their star center back, Andreas Christensen, has been sent back to Stamford Bridge today after sustaining a serious injury.
The 21-year-old rising star, who has replaced David Luiz as a first-team regular under Antonio Conte, was surprisingly absent from the squad that defeated Panama in Brondby yesterday. Denmark manager, Age Hareide confirmed the injury scare after the 1-0 friendly victory.
Hareide said that Christensen is carrying a knock and has returned to Chelsea to undergo further treatment. Christensen has filled the void left by the out-of-form, David Luiz, thus far. The team might have to use Gary Cahill in their clash against bitter rivals, Tottenham.
