Burna Boy Was Intentional About Getting This 2nd Grammy Notification – Music Critic

A UK-based Nigerian music critic, Dami Ajayi has reportedly revealed that the African Giant Burna Boy was intentional about his 2nd Grammy’s nomination.
Recall that the Afrobeats star had been nominated the 2nd time in the Best Global Music Album category at Sunday’s awards for his 2020 album ‘Twice as Tall’.
He had also been nominated in 2019 in the same category, for his ‘African Giant’ album, but the award rather went to legendary Beninoise singer Angelique Kidjo.
Speaking about his 2020 album, TAT, Dami Ajayi noted that Burna Boy had a plan to get another Grammy nomination and the 2021 nomination is very specific.

“It was a deliberate choice to get US record executive Sean Combs as executive producer and to feature world music star Youssou N’dour. There was a plan (by Burna Boy) to get another Grammy nomination. This year’s nomination is very specific”, Channels TV reported Dami Ajayi said.Photos Credit: Getty
