President Buhari’s PA Bashir Ahmad has explained why the pigeons at the national arcade refused to fly today after the president released them in honour of the Armed forces remembrance day.
The president’s PA took to his Twitter page to react to the issue and shared that the pigeons love the president so much they never want to see him go. He mentioned that the president has taken the pigeons back with him to the villa. The video of president Buhari releasing the pigeons into the air earlier today was shared on social media and the pigeons could be seen refusing to fly. The video has sparked up a lot of reaction on social media with Nigerians sharing that it is a sign of bad omen for the country.

The ritual of releasing doves is to commemorate the life of a departed loved one and is common at significant events like funerals or memorials. It also signifies peace.
