Black Lives Matter: Kanye West Protests In Chicago Against George Floyd Killing

American rapper and fashion designer, Kanye West has returned to his home city of Chicago to join protesters against George Floyd’s killing.


The 42-year-old rapper wanted to take direct action after pledging $2 million to funds to help the family of George Floyd as well as the grieving families of Ahmaud Arbrery, and Breonna Taylor following their deaths.


Kanye joined Chicago Public Schools students to protest as well as to demand CPS cancel their contract with the Chicago Police Department.

He has also vowed to donate to several black-owned businesses in his hometown of Chicago and nationwide, that have been hit by the crisis spreading across the United States.
