Bandits shot dead the senior wife of the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque in Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu.
The bandits requested 2 million Naira as ransom which was paid but the Imam’s senior wife, Mrs. Hulaira Hussaini Ardo was shot dead.

Recall that the bandits had on February 11th, 2023 kidnapped four wives of Malam Husaaini Ardo, at Rugan Ardo in Kagarko LGA, and killed the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque in Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu.
The Madaki of Janjala, Samaila Babangida, confirmed the killing, and said the community was mourning their chief’s wife, adding that the armed men refused to release her corpse.
According to him, the ransom of 2 million Naira was paid for the release of the four wives, but the senior wife was shot by the gunmen, while the remaining three were released.
He said it was after the ransom was taken to the bandits with the assurance to set free the four wives of the chief that the leader of the group shot and killed the senior wife and set free the remaining three.

“I boarded one of the motorcycles that took the money and foodstuff to them. It was after they collected the money that their leader opened fire on the senior wife,” he said.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige did not respond to calls and a text message sent to him.
