The three kings of football (Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar), are currently in the heart of France for the 2017 edition of the Ballon d’or player of the year award, but only one of them will leave this city with the crown tonight.
Almost every football pundit on earth is currently rooting for Cristiano Ronaldo, despite Real Madrid’s horrific start to the season. The four-time ballon d’or winner has been at high’s and low’s with his team this season. He has struggled to pace his way around defenders in both the Spanish league, and the UEFA Champions league.
Lionel Messi on the other hand, has risen to his enigmatic standard once again as he won the European golden boot award few weeks ago. He has found the net in almost every match for Barcelona this season.
The world most expensive footballer, Neymar, has been impressive for PSG so far this season. But his sudden good form will definitely not be enough to give earn him his first Ballon d’or award tonight.
