Babangida’s Media Adviser, Afegbua Slam Nigerian Police Force With N1 Billion Lawsuit

Kassim Afegbua, media aide of former military president Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, slammed the Nigeria Police and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, with a ₦1 billion lawsuit for the harassment and persecution meted on him by the police as a result of the statement he released on behalf of his principal, Babangida.
The Nigerian police force declared Kassim wanted when Babangida signed a counter statement over the weekend, claiming that the statement released by Kassim was not from him. The story, however took another turn on Monday, when Babangida publicly declared that the letter from Kassim was from him, claiming that the counter statement came from well-meaning friends, and the first statement criticizing the Buhari administration was truly from him.
