Lekki Killings: Angry Mob Vandalise Sanwo-Olu’s Family House On The Island

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has imposed a curfew on the state due to the #EndSARS protests that had been hijacked and has now gone completely out of control. Soldiers were later yesterday evening around 7 pm October 20th 2020, attacked peaceful protesters around Lekki Toll-gate shooting directly at them that has left seven young persons dead, and hundreds injured.

Reports gathered from Eyewitnesses say youths withholding a jerry can of petrol were seen soaking the house in petrol but was quickly stopped by residents for that the fire could spread uncontrollably beyond just the Gov’s home.

The eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “Around 7:45 am, angry youths gathered around Sanwo-Olu’s family home on Omididun Street, Lagos Island, throwing stones and shattering glasses.

“One of the youths poured petrol on the building but was immediately prevented from setting it ablaze because the fire could spread and lead to loss of lives.”Lagos State Governor

It was learnt that policemen attached to the Adeniji Adele Police Station had raced to the scene in a bid to quell the violence.”
