Yo! What’s up music lovers? Welcome to another weekend where we serve you some of the hottest songs from underground artistes. Talented artistes with banging rhythm that might be overlooked, no thanks to the plethora of works being churned out every week.
As always, these songs have been carefully listened to, weighted in the balance and analyzed if they’ll lead to ‘ear-gasm’.
We got you covered for this week. So, just relax while we serve you some of the hottest songs out there right now.
1. F.U.A.D – Rhythm And Joy
This is the debut song from this young man, F.U.A.D. Released on September 11, it is one of the best pop songs I’ve heard from an upcoming act this year. I’ve had it on repeat for the better part of this week. The song is that near. The production, the lyrics, the artiste’s voice just sync perfectly to give you a well served track.
The message of the song is basically a call to calm down, relax and enjoy life. While it is imperative to work hard, it is also necessary to never forget to dance and be happy. Go check out this one.
2. Pele Play – Pull Up
Pele Play has been doing his business for a while now, and on this song which is off his three-track EP, Night At The Playhouse, he sings of his commitment to a woman and the relationship they share.
It is a lovely way to begin a project and an even more lovely way to tell your partner what you’re bringing to the table. Kudos to the man doing what he does best.
3. Yang 21 & Lil O’Self – Nobody
There is just something very interesting about this song. It has a certain Afrobeats vibe, but with a dash of EDM and a stamp of trap music. It is off the three-track EP, ‘What Do Girls Want?‘ Well, if you want to find out, you just have to check out the EP. I have to give it to the producer, the instrumentals are very catchy. Go bop this song.
4. Giwin – Kokobility
I stumbled on this song recently on Audiomack and well, it’s been a delight to listen to this one. In the description for the song, Giwin writes, “… a track aimed at serenading his listeners and set to capture your attention during the first 30 seconds.” If you do not take his word as true, try checking the song out.
4. Jess ETA feat. Zarion Uti – More
Off Jess’ EP, Balance, this Afro-fusion song sits comfortably. The song writing is to be envied as well as the production which is by the artiste himself. There’s just something very fashionable about Zarion’s voice as he sings, “Make I dey your body like cologne, or is it because I’m unknown? Girl, very soon I go blow…”
5. Candy Bleakz – Won La
If you enjoyed Olamide’s ‘Wonma’, then this is your song. This is a thrilling dance song, laced with a powerful repetitive hook and a huge vibe by the artiste. The song is quite sexual, if you know what to listen to. It is a powerful dance song and is just great for your weekend melody.
5. DJ Fredy Muks Ft Korra Obidi – Cassava
A seemingly sexual song with a great beat and an even better dance video.
6. Veen feat. Kiienka and Tochi Bedford – In My Bag
Off Veen’s ‘On Impact’ EP. The song is basically about money and the desire to get it. Great rapping on here.
7. Suté Iwar feat. Ayüü, Tomi
The song is off Iwar’s four-track EP, Colors. The song is about desire and the need for something romantic.
8. Straffitti feat. Buju – Everywhere.
From the EP, Straff From Nigeria. An interesting jam.
9. Demaj – Sama
While the beat is a common one, the delivery is what makes it interesting.
10. Otunba feat. Buju – Saro
Buju is like BOJ; he doesn’t disappoint on hooks, and he brings his magic here again. Go have a music-filled weekend.Photo Credit: Instagram
