Ministers’ Sack Will Be Continuous – President Buhari

Following the firing of two of his Ministers, Mohammed Nanono of Agriculture and Saleh Mamman of Power on Wednesday, 1st September 2021, President Muhammadu Buhari has said the sacking of Ministers will be a continuous process.

Recall that the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina had announced the sack in Abuja after the Federal Executive Council meeting, noting that the Ministers’ contribution to the administration could be considered weak.

Femi Adesina then noted that the exercise will continue in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution. “I wish to reiterate once more, that this process shall be continuous”, Adesina quoted the President said, adding that the decision was taken after critical self-review of the performances of the two ministers.

The fired Ministers have been replaced immediately.
