Mrs Regina Fani-Kayode (nee Hanson-Amonoo), has come out to declare that she is still married and the only legal wife of the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, she, however, reaffirmed too that the ex-minister has never nor never use to abuse her all-through their 23-years of marriage. 
She said this during a telephone interview with The Punch on Monday, this is coming after Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was accused by his estranged wife, Precious Chikwendu of subjecting her to domestic violence.
Mrs Regina who is Ghanaian, said she married Femi Fani-Kayode based on Ghanaian customs in 1997 and they further tied the knot here in Nigeria at the Apapa Registry in Lagos 2002.
She said, “We have a beautiful daughter called Oluwaremilekun and both she and I are very proud of him. He has been a wonderful father and caring husband and he has never subjected me to any form of domestic abuse or treated me badly.
“Reports in the media that we are divorced are fake and suggestions that I was treated in a bad way by him or subjected to any form of abuse at any time in the 23 years that we have been married are malicious and false.”
When further asked if she’s aware of Femi Fani-Kayode’s relationship with Precious Chikwendu, and both having 4 sons together she replied that she most definitely knows about the relationship and that she even approved of it.
Regina also disclosed that she relocated to Ghana and that knew a monogamous relationship would have been really difficult for Femi Fani-Kayode to cope with so she hence gave him the go-ahead take another wife.
She, however, said her husband did not commit bigamy as he did not marry Precious legally but traditionally.
Precious, who is a beauty queen, recently separated from Fani-Kayode amid rumours of domestic violence.
However, neither Precious nor Fani-Kayode has agreed to speak to the media on the matter.
