 A police officer, Pc Katie Barratt, of Northumbria Police, was recently dismissed and the reason for her dismissal has been revealed. According to reports, it was discovered that Barratt used racist language on a night out. Barratt reportedly used derogatory terms about the staff in a Newcastle takeaway while drunkenly waiting for a pizza. She made the comments to colleagues but wasn’t heard by the staff. Metro reports that the first allegation made was a racially offensive comment about staff in the takeaway and she said the word ‘f***ing n****r’ and ‘f***ing p**i’ – which Barratt has denied this. It was also alleged that she used the word ‘p**i’ up to six times. Barratt accepted this in part and claimed she had used the word twice.  Photo Credit: Getty
