World Cup Mode! Cristiano Ronaldo Joins Portugal Amid Real Madrid Exit Rumours

Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived Portugal’s camp in Cascais ahead of World Cup.

Portugal take on Algeria on Thursday (June 7) in their final warm-up game in Lisbon’s Estadio da Luz, and the European Champions will face Spain in their World Cup opener on Friday, June 15, 2018. Portugal, coached by Fernando Santos, will also take on Morocco and Iran in Group B.

Cristiano Ronaldo posted a photograph on his twitter account wearing the No. 7 jersey with the message: “The world is watching. Let’s go to work.” Portugal had struggled to get a win without the five-time Ballon d’Or winner against Belgium (0-0) and Tunisia (2-2). Ronaldo sparked speculation about his future at Bernabeu when discussing his time as a Madrid player after last month’s Champions League final victory over Liverpool in Kiev. Real Madrid will possibly break the bank to buy PSG forward, Neymar, should Ronaldo leaves Madrid before the start of next season.
