Davido and Tiwa Savage have been nominated for the 2018 BET awards.

The Nigerian pop stars will compete against African musicians including Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Fally Ipupa (DR Congo), and Distruction Boyz (South Africa) for the Best International Act Award. Global music stars in the category are Booba (France), Dadju (France), Niska (France), Stefflon Don (UK), Stormzy (UK), and J Hus (UK).

It is surprising that Wizkid was nowhere to be found on the 2018 BET list, despite his remarkable 2017 studio works that included the “Sounds from the Other Side” album, which had hit track “Come Closer” with Drake,  “African Bad Gyal” with Chris Brown, and  “Naughty Ride” featuring Major Lazer. 

The 2018 BET Awards will hold on June 25 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. DJ Khaled leads the 2018 BET awards nominations with six, while Migos and SZA follow with four nods each.
