Irish mix-martial fighter Conor McGregor was beaten by Khabib Nurmagomedov in a fight that was marred by a post-fight brawl in Las Vegas.
The 30-year-old Irishman was soundly beaten as Khabib romped to a fourth round submission win in UFC 229 at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night.
Despite a stirring fightback from McGregor, he couldn’t claw his way back into a fight that the Russian dominated early on.
But, after Khabib sealed a fourth-round submission victory, he jumped out of the octagon and attacked McGregor’s jujitsu coach Dillon Danis. McGregor was standing in the octagon recovering from his defeat when he was struck by a member of Khabib’s team.
